University administrators say their schools still need to combat the perception that U.S. campuses are unfriendly toward international students.
Recruitment for the second batch of students is now under way, and the school hopes to see a significant rise in the number of international students.
"The government of Canada's investment in researchers through the CRC allows them to further their careers and supervise and train the next generation of scientists," says René Durocher, executive director of the Canada Research Chair program.
