Posting an Ad

I am a new user. How do I post an ad?

Before posting your jobs, you will need to create an Employer account with a username and password. Go to www.sciencecareers.org, and click on For Employers (link to For Employers) then click on Post a Job. Once on the Post a Job page, you can proceed to set up your account, or click on "How It Works" for detailed posting instructions.

How do I publish an ad in Science magazine as well as online?

DO NOT use the online service if you want your ad to appear both in print and online. Instead please e-mail a copy of your advertisement to advertise@sciencecareers.org or contact a Science Careers representative(contact info page) to assist you in placing your order.

Our company already has an account with Science Careers; however the name on the account has to be changed.

Log into your existing account and update the information to reflect the changes to the account. You can also create a new Employer account with a new username and password.

Once I post my ad, when will it appear online?

Most ads appear online in one business day.

I forgot my password. How can I log into my Employer account?

To retrieve your password, you will need to have the Username and e-mail address your account was set up under. Click here and follow the instructions for retrieving your password.

What is a pickup?

A pickup is what you do when you would like to rerun an existing or previously expired ad. You can "pick up" your previous ad text, and rerun it for an additional 8 weeks online. Restrictions may apply.

How do I renew an ad?

To renew an existing ad, log into your user profile on sciencecareers.org. Click on Job Posting History. Once you've located the ad you wish to renew, click the Pickup box and select, Post Selected Jobs. After one business day, your ad should appear for an additional eight weeks online.

I created my ad but cannot find it on the site.

It is possible that you have not completed the posting process. To make sure, log into your account and select Job Posting History. If you find your ad has not been posted, you must check the Post box next to your ad, then click the Post Selected Jobs button. Once you've completed the posting process, you should receive an order confirmation. Please allow one full business day for your ad to appear.

How do I post a meeting?

To post a meeting, go to www.sciencemeetings.org, and click on the Post A Meeting link to the left of the page. From there you can create your user account, or log in to post your meeting or event listing.

Changes and Copies

How do I get a copy of an ad that was posted online a long time ago?

You can e-mail us at advertise@sciencecareers.org. In your request, indicate your name, the date you posted your ad, the organization name, and order number. If you don't have your order number, you can provide us with your user name instead.

How can I remove my posting?

Contact us at advertise@sciencecareers.org. Indicate what the job you wish to remove is and we will take it down within one business day.

There is an error in my ad. How do I fix that?

Contact us at advertise@sciencecareers.org with your employer name, position title, and order number, and let us know what needs to be corrected. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from a customer service representative.

Pricing and Payment

Is there a discount for posting online and in the journal?

Online posting are discounted ($200) when placed in conjunction with a print ad in Science. To obtain the $200 online posting rate with your print ad, DO NOT use our online service. Instead, send your ad text to advertise@sciencecareers.org or contact a Science Careers representative(contact info page) to get more pricing options.

Can I receive a discount for posting multiple ads?

You can receive a 25% discount off of the original posting rate when you re run or pick up the same ad within 8 weeks of the previous posting.

You can also receive lower rates once your organization posts six or more jobs. See our rate card for more information.

What method of payment can I use to place an ad?

You can pay for your ad using VISA, Mastercard, or American Express. In most cases, we can also accept purchase order or insertion order numbers. If you would like to be invoiced, check Bill Me during your checkout process.

I have a question about my invoice. Who do I contact?
